Journey through French Polynesia via inter-island freighter, meet local Polynesians and learn about their history, economy, agriculture, government and art against the backdrop of spectacular natural beauty.

Extensive standing and walking up to two miles a day and climbing. Existing roads/sidewalks are generally unpaved terrain. Ground transportation via four-wheel-drive vehicles over roads that may be bumpy. Participants must descend exterior stairs with railings from freighter to board 30-passenger whaleboats to get ashore.
